The Sauerland is one of the most exciting motorcycling regions in Germany. Between dense forests, hills and bends, varied routes lead through a landscape that is perfect for extended tours. An ideal starting point: the Romantik® Berghotel Astenkrone in Winterberg.

From here, motorcycle highlights such as the Hochsauerland-Höhenstraße with its wide views or the winding Rothaar tour through deep green forests can be reached effortlessly. If you appreciate being close to water, choose the Möhnesee or Biggesee tour, while the Diethölz tour takes you through great towns and hidden valleys. The Sauerlandring tour is more challenging - experienced riders will get their money's worth here. Whether short laps or all-day adventures - the Sauerland is versatile, intense and always surprising on a motorcycle.

The Rhine with Cologne or Bonn is also not far away - perfect for a combination of urban stop and scenic drive. A special bonus: the Lohmann host family, themselves enthusiastic motorcyclists, know the most beautiful routes and insider tips in the region and are happy to pass them on to their guests - from a leisurely after-work ride to an extended day tour with a stop for refreshments.
