Culinary at the Romantik Hotel Stafler

Pampering our guests is a tradition in this former coaching inn and farmstead. And you can sense tradition everywhere- in the ancient vaults, the medieval lounges, the romantic bay windows. Since 1270, famous travellers and celebrities like Goethe have been stopping over in this place.

The historical building contributes definitely to the fact that we are listed among the best gourmet hotels in South Tyrol. It is clear that exceptional cuisine develops best where the ambience is just as unique as the cuisine itself.

The restaurant guidebook Gault Millau quoted our chef Peter Girtler as "the best promoter of an all-comprising cuisine". The two stars awarded by the Michelin-restaurant guidebook confirmed the excellence of his cooking. This series of awards clearly states one fact: our chef knows his job!
