The 3-star Romantik Hotel de L'Ours is a former wine grower's house dating back to 1843 and is situated in Sugiez, a village at the foot of vineyards, beside a canal and just a few paces from the Lac de Morat. Relaxed, family atmosphere. Cuisine based on market-fresh ingredients available in the bistro or in the dining room beside the fire. Outstanding wine cellar. Magnificent flower garden and shady terrace.
The history of the Romantik Hotel de L'Ours in Sugiez in the Swiss canton of Friborg follows on from that of the former winegrower's house from 1843. Correspondingly rich in tradition, but also with all modern comforts, it welcomes its guests at the foot of the vineyards. Fortunately, the impressive wine cellar has retained the charm of earlier times. The gravel floor, the original wine press, the bottle racks, paintings and drawings from back then, every little thing is reminiscent of the 19th century.
