Lovely room, view & experience
My wife and I enjoyed our stay very much. The room was very nice, spacious and clean. The hotel is beautiful, with unmatched views of Lake Zurich. And, most important, the staff was top notch!

Wonderful Hotel
What a lovely hotel, beautiful and so relaxing by the water. The spa was amazing and I haven’t slept as well in years. The breakfast was super and the staff were so friendly and helpful.

Wonderful 40th birthday party at the lake
We celebrated my wife's 40th birthday at the private beach of the Sonne Hotel and it was a great experience. The venue is simple and beautiful with a gorgeous view the service was attentive, with a hostess dedicated to serve snacks and drinks for the whole party. Our guests were delighted. We want to thank Karin, Stephanie, Djenifer and all the team for organizing and delivering such a good event. Thank you!

The Perfect Holiday on Lake Zurich

Ottima esperienza. Room più dedicata alla coppia che a una famiglia.
Abbiamo trovato la camera accogliente, pulita e completa. Anche molto apprezzato il benvenuto ai bambini con caramelle e papere di plastica. La stanza è completa di ogni dettaglio. L'unico appunto (non risolvibile) è che manca totalmente la privacy. La stanza dedicata al bagno e alla cura della persona e, soprattutto, la toilette, non hanno pareti. Tutto in vetro e senza pareti a tutta altezza, anche i rumori non vengono attutiti. Ottima la colazione, non particolarmente assortita, ma di qualità. Cordiali saluti

Always Pleased and Comfortable
We have stayed at Die Sonne for many years. We love the location on the lake and are always very comfortable. The entire Team are always professional and courteous. The breakfast is very nice with excellent service. And we thoroughly enjoyed the food in the Stube.

Directly on the shores of Lake Zurich and set among chestnut trees, the Seegarten Restaurant awaits you in the warmer months with our uncomplicated self-service offer. The menu features currywurst, crispy fried chicken, flammkuchen, and more – for both small and big appetites. Home-made lemonades or a glass of rosé are also available. The ice cream stand provides the desired cooling effect on hot days with home-made ice cream and sorbets.
For our little guests, there is a child’s menu as well as a playground located in the Seegarten so that families can also enjoy a relaxed visit.

The Seegarten is open from April to October.

Travel via the Zurich City exit into the centre. Follow the signs towards the lake [See] and Rapperswil. From Bellevueplatz the route runs along Lake Zurich to Küsnacht. The boutique Hotel Sonne is located in the town centre, turn right at the second traffic lights.

 

Take the S6 or S16 from Zurich towards Uetikon or Meilen. Get off at the "Küsnacht" stop – the hotel is just a few minutes' walk from the train station. The travel time from Zurich Main Station is about 15 minutes.

Zurich Airport (ZRH) is located about 18 kilometres away. The onward journey is possible by taxi or public transport; the travel time is approximately 30 to 40 minutes.
