Berlin to Amsterdam:

• Duration: Approx. 6-7 hours
• Connection: Direct connections are available, often with changes in Hanover or Osnabrück.

Frankfurt am Main to Amsterdam:

• Duration: Approx. 4-5 hours
• Connection: There are direct connections that take you quickly and comfortably to Amsterdam.

Cologne to Amsterdam:

• Duration: Approx. 2-3 hours
• Connection: Direct trains run regularly

Hamburg to Amsterdam:

• Duration: Approx. 5-6 hours
• Connection: Often with changes in Bremen or Hanover.

Düsseldorf to Amsterdam:

• Duration: Approx. 2-3 hours
• Connection: Direct trains are available and offer a fast journey.

Amsterdam by train

From the train station to the hotel:

The NH Collection Barbizon Palace is only about a 10-minute walk from Central Station. Leave the station in the direction of ‘Stationsplein’ and follow the signs to ‘Oudezijds Voorburgwal’. The hotel is located near the ‘Oudezijds Achterburgwal’.

Airport: Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS)

• Schiphol Airport is the largest airport in the Netherlands and offers numerous international connections.

From the airport to the hotel:

• By train: Trains run directly from Schiphol Airport to Amsterdam Centraal. The journey takes about 15-20 minutes. Once at the station, follow the instructions above to get to the hotel. Tickets can be purchased on site (Schiphol Plaza) Single journey from the airport to Amsterdam Centraal.
• By taxi: Alternatively, you can take a taxi that will take you directly to the hotel in about 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. Uber or Bolt are also available - please note extra pick-up point.

Due to the challenging parking situation in Amsterdam, we advise against travelling by car.

Parking facilities nearby:

• Q-Park Amsterdam centraal, Prins Hendrikkade 20, Amsterdam, approx. 60€ per day
• Parking Centrum Oosterdok, Oosterdoksstraat 140, Amsterdam, approx. 45€ per day
• The hotel only has a very limited number of parking spaces.

As soon as you leave the building on the south side (Centrum exit) of the main railway station, the hotel is already signposted (BARBIZON PALACE).
