Romance near the Tejo!
Right next to the National Art Museum, the charming Romantik Boutique Hotel As Janelas Verdes awaits you in a small 18th century palace full of tradition. Once inhabited by ladies and cavaliers, numerous art objects, books and family photographs preserve the original romantic charm of the house. It is rumoured that this grand house was the inspiration for the famous "Ramalhete" of the literary work "The Maias" by Eça de Queiróz, who supposedly lived here himself.
Your hosts
Three Portuguese families joined forces to develop a new hotel brand that could promote national heritage among their visitors. They started with 3 old buildings in the centre of Lisbon and their restoration: As Janelas Verdes, Hotel Britania and Lisboa Plaza. Only a few years later they invested in 2 more projects: Solar do Castelo in 2001 and Heritage Avenida Liberdade in 2007.
