For individual seminars in the unique ambience of the Romantik Hotel & Taverne Schwan, our charming Swan Suite on the top floor and the Vinothek are at your disposal. With the help of various packages, half-day or full-day seminars including lunch or even full-day seminars including lunch, dinner and overnight stay can be planned. A fully comprehensive infrastructure including high-speed WLAN supports the smooth running of the event.

True to this motto, the dedicated team of the Romantik Hotel & Taverne Schwan organises a wide variety of events within the historic walls: From a convivial birthday dinner to the annual company party to a glittering dream wedding, no wishes remain unfulfilled. Accommodation is also provided: the 22 romantic hotel rooms invite you to linger and the rich breakfast buffet is the perfect end to a glittering celebration.

Picturesque Horgen is an excellent starting point for various hiking tours. For example, start out on a medium-difficulty hike through the Sihlwald. The trail leads you through the Sihlwald Wilderness Park, with an impressive zoological enclosure. Along the way you will find refreshment stops and barbecue areas, as well as vantage points with views over Lake Zurich. After about 3.5 hours of leisurely hiking, the trail leads you back to Horgen.

In just 5 minutes from the hotel you can reach Lake Zurich and the Horgen boat landing station. From there, ships sail at regular intervals on different long routes across Lake Zurich - of course with the possibility to get off in between and explore new places. The trip from Zurich to the historic town of Rapperswil on one of the paddle steamers, for example, takes a good 2 hours. From there you will experience a wonderful view over Lake Zurich.

About 20 minutes' drive from our house, you will reach the small town of Baar. A one-hour walk along the Lorze river leads you to the fairytale-like stalactite caves. These are open daily from April to the end of October and enchant young and old. To quench your thirst on the way back, a visit to the Baar Brewery - one of the oldest Swiss breweries - is recommended. Along the way, there are also opportunities for barbecues, picnics and splashing around.

You can use the Zürich Card to discover Zurich flexibly and inexpensively. It offers numerous advantages:

• Public transport: free use of all public transport (2nd class) in Zurich and the surrounding area, including streetcar, bus, train, boat and cable car. Transfers to/from the airport and trips up the Uetliberg are also included.
• Museums: Free admission to many museums, including the Kunsthaus Zürich, the National Museum and the FIFA Museum.
• Further benefits: Discounts or culinary surprises in selected restaurants, discounts on city tours and discounts in various stores.

At 841 meters, the Rapperswil-Hurden wooden bridge is the longest wooden bridge in Switzerland and can be reached in just 20 minutes from the Romantik® Hotel Schwan. It follows the historic Way of St. James and connects Rapperswil with Hurden across Lake Zurich. Surrounded by nature and with a view of the Heilig Hüsli, it offers a special experience for walkers.
