Our Host
Robbert Van Rijsbergen brings many years of experience in international luxury hospitality, as well as expertise in sales, marketing, and strategic business development, to Dresden. After studying at Hotelschool The Hague and completing an internship at the Amstel Hotel Amsterdam, he worked there as a Sales Manager, overseeing the luxury travel market as well as the entertainment and government sectors. In 2014, he moved to São Paulo, where he served as Business Development Manager for Virtuoso, managing relationships with over 30 travel agencies across Latin America. In 2017, he became Director of Sales & Marketing at the five-star The Dylan Amsterdam, and in 2025 he moved to Dresden to join the Romantik® Hotel Bülow Residenz.

In a project on the topic of "Corporate Social Responsibility", the trainees of the Romantik Hotel dealt with the topic of sustainability in relation to the resource "employees". They wanted to show that the Bülow Residenz attaches great importance to sound training. The international team works together as a family and integrates other nations in an exemplary manner. Through different working time models, the Bülow Residenz has also succeeded in retaining employees in the long term, as the hotel and family can be optimally combined.

We guarantee check-in from 2 pm. We ask you to check out by 12 noon.
Our reception is staffed from 6.30 am to 6.00 pm. Guests arriving later please check in with our colleagues at the Hotel Bülow Palais (Königstraße 14, only approx. 100 metres away) next door.
Our guests can use the underground parking of the Hotel Bülow Palais. The parking fee is € 25 per day.
There are two parking spaces with e-charging facilities in the underground car park. The charging fee is € 20 per charging process. Thanks to a cooperation, we charge Porsche free of charge.
We warmly welcome your four-legged friends. A dog set up with a water bowl and welcome treats is of course available on request. If required, we can also organize a dog sitter, an appointment at the dog grooming salon or with the vet.
We will provide your four-legged friend with welcome snacks, sample packs, wet food, door tags, voucher cards and bowls from PLATINUM on arrival!
We charge a pet fee of € 35 per pet/night due to special and more complex cleaning. The size of the pet does not matter.
We do not have our own hotel restaurant. We therefore recommend that our guests reserve a table at the Caroussel Nouvelle in the neighbouring Hotel Bülow Palais when booking their room. The restaurant is also popular with Dresdeners, so we suggest booking a table in good time.
No, we are a bed & breakfast hotel. We only serve breakfast.
No, but Residenz guests are invited to use the Palais SPA in the neighbouring Hotel Bülow Palais free of charge. There is a fitness room and a sauna area with 3 saunas. You will receive a spa bag with bathrobe, slippers and towel at reception there.
The accommodation tax is charged by the city of Dresden, amounts to 6% of the accommodation price and is passed on in full to the city.
