Welcome to Hesse: Two prominent new hotels join Romantik
The Romantik cooperative continues to grow and has just welcomed two new members: both of them prominent hotels in Hesse, Germany. They join over 200 hotels in ten countries that make up the Romantik brand. Hotel Freund & SPA Resort by the Edersee reservoir and Hotel Schubert in Lauterbach are now officially part of Romantik. A total of 15 prestigious hotels have joined the cooperative this year. Thomas Edelkamp, Chairman at Romantik, is delighted with the new additions: “The news is getting around that Romantik is not just a strong international brand, but is also successfully exploiting all the relevant distribution channels.” The current Europe-wide advertising campaign and accompanying sales activities have been effective, he says, and have brought in more guests and more revenue for the cooperative’s hotels. Edelkamp is currently in discussion with a large number of other aspiring Romantik hoteliers.
The two new Romantik members
Romantik Hotel Schubert in Lauterbach
The Schubert family offers exceptionally warm hospitality in a building with a rich tradition, situated in Lauterbach’s beautiful old town centre in the Vogelsberg District of Hesse. The hotel has recently been refurbished and boasts individually furnished, stylish bedrooms, including creative themed rooms. The two restaurants serve high-quality cuisine: guests can enjoy both international and classic Hessian dishes made from seasonal, local ingredients in the modern “schuberts” and the cosy, rustic “Entennest”. The kitchen team has been awarded a Bib Gourmand in the Michelin Guide and the food comes highly recommended. The region around the Vogelsberg, the biggest extinct volcano in Europe, offers a wide range of leisure activities, from sports to cultural excursions.
Romantik Hotel Freund & Spa Resort, Kellerwald-Edersee National Park
In the north of Hesse, close to the Edersee reservoir, Romantik Hotel Freund & Spa Resort attracts discerning guests. The views from the modern rooms in this first-class hotel look out directly onto the picturesque countryside on the edge of the Kellerwald-Edersee National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site. As well as a wide range of spa treatments, the hotel boasts a beautiful wellness garden with a sunbathing area and an outdoor pool that is heated all year round. For guests this means: relaxing peace and tranquillity, captivating views and numerous leisure activities, including water sports on the reservoir, horse riding on the hotel’s own stud farm and culinary delights in the excellent restaurants.
