Burghotel Schwarzenstein joins Romantik

Another prominent addition to the Romantik family: the historic part of Burg Schwarzenstein, a castle in Geisenheim-Johannisberg, has joined the cooperative. “The Rheingau region is even more romantic now,” say the hotel owners, Stéphanie and Michael Teigelkamp, who have recently caused a sensation in gourmet circles by appointing top chef Nils Henkel. “We are looking forward to working with so many great hoteliers and we are counting on the marketing power of Romantik,” add the Teigelkamps, who will be pursuing a two-pronged strategy from now on: while their Park Residence remains with Relais & Châteaux, the castle hotel will be positioning itself via Romantik’s global distribution channels. Thomas Edelkamp, Chairman of the Romantik cooperative, is proud of the new member: “Burghotel Schwarzenstein has passionate hoteliers and excellent cuisine and is one of the top establishments in the region. It fits Romantik perfectly and will now enjoy the benefits of our powerful global marketing cooperative.”

Romantik, which brings together over 200 leading hotels in ten countries, has been announcing prestigious new members from all over Europe on an almost weekly basis. “Superior hoteliers everywhere are looking for new ways to sell hotel rooms,” says Edelkamp. “We are in a position to demonstrate measurable success, thanks to our Europe-wide advertising campaign, our partnership with Alain Ducasse’s Châteaux & Hôtels Collection in France and our direct sales activities. And we are currently in talks with a large number of other prestigious hoteliers who are interested in joining Romantik.”
