The Weisse Rössl, world-famous for the operetta "Im Weissen Rössl" by Ralph Benatzky, is recommended as the first address in the Salzkammergut. At the Weissen Rössl, guests now experience hospitality in the 5th generation. The Peter host family has been welcoming guests for 100 years. The Rössl film with Peter Alexander and Waltraud Haas was a firm favourite in the childhood of today's owner Gudrun Peter and was shown daily in the cinema in St. Wolfgang. As a little girl, she liked to reenact the film with her friends. But already at the age of 7 it was clear to her: she would only play if she could also be the Rössl hostess. No one could refuse her wish at that time, because it was already clear at an early age that she would not only play this role, but also be it one day. And that is exactly what happened. The hostess' absolute favourite role became her life role, which she no longer plays today but lives with heart and soul.

From the north or east in the direction of Wolfgangsee
Leave the Austrian Westautobahn (A1) at Regau and then take the B 145 to Gmunden and along the shore of the Traunsee towards Bad Ischl. There, follow the signs towards Salzburg and St. Wolfgang on the B 158 through the Kaiserpark tunnel to Strobl, where you turn right towards St. Wolfgang.
From the south to holiday bliss in the Salzkammergut region
Cross the Pötschenpass on the B 145 in the direction of Bad Ischl and drive through the Kaiserpark tunnel on the B 158 in the direction of St. Wolfgang.
Coming from the west to the Weisse Rössl on Lake Wolfgang
Leave the Austrian A1 motorway, the Westautobahn, at the Thalgau exit and take the L 117 to Hof, where you turn left at the roundabout onto the B 158 towards Wolfgangsee. At St. Gilgen you reach the Wolfgangsee and turn off at Strobl in the direction of St. Wolfgang.
By train you reach the place for your personal holiday happiness safely and rested: the Romantik Hotel Im Weissen Rössl on the shores of the dreamlike Wolfgangsee. The closest express train station to the Rössl is Salzburg main station. On request, the Rössl hotel taxi will pick you up in Salzburg - and with more than one horsepower!
