Genk, only a few kilometres away, is home to the Domein Bokrijk, an important open-air museum for Belgium, a large go-cart track and a plantarium.

Masseik is a small historic town on the Meuse. Maaseik is the birthplace of Jan van Eyck, a famous Flemish painter of the late Middle Ages. In addition to the charming old town, shopping and sports facilities, you will also find some exceptional museums such as the Archaeological Museum with interesting exhibits from the Roman period, the Pharmacy Museum with the oldest pharmacy equipment in Belgium from the 17th century, the Bakery Museum or the treasury of the Catharinakerk.

Maastricht is one of the three oldest cities in the Netherlands and is just a 20-minute drive from our beautiful Romantik Hotel. Many churches and secular buildings bear witness to the city's long history. In addition to the historical sights such as the Basilica of Our Lady, the Bonbonnière or the town hall on the market square, there are many museums where you can experience art and culture. Maastricht is also a popular city for shopping.
