Glencoe House was built in 1896 by Lord Strathcona and has been transformed into a suite only 5 star hotel. Romantik Hotel Glencoe House comprises 8 generous private suites (between 80-148 sqm); enjoy your own wing of a mansion house, albeit with the 21st century technologies and comforts. One & two bedroom private suites are available all boasting lavish bathrooms, many with twin free standing slipper baths that stand side by side with just a champagne bucket between them. Distinctively the suites contain a substantial sitting room, which encompasses an array of period features together with the luxury of your own open fire and ‘maxi-bar’. A key feature of Glencoe House is the unique dining experience. Breakfast and a 5-course dinner is served in the comfort of your own candle-lit private dining room located in your suite. Guests can dress up or dress but they will enjoy an elegant restaurant experience without fellow diners.
Furthermore, there are the lavish "The Bell Tower Suites", which is a characterful building in its own right that is located but 50m from the main house. These are 6 one-bedroom suites, all with private walled gardens with hot tubs. The suites comprise a large sitting room with wood burning stoves, a kitchen with Aga, and a luxurious bathroom on the ground floor with a generous bedroom on the first floor. Dining is a relaxed affair and is fully catered for just pop your meal of choice into the oven and stretch over to open your wine fridge to pour yourself a glass of wine. If cooking isn’t on your agenda then just book a table for dinner or breakfast in the Great Hall within the mansion house.
