Culinary at the Romantik Hotel Barbarossa
The à la carte restaurant “Weinstube” with its old wooden wall panelling is the “cosy parlour” of the “Barbarossa”. Here you may enjoy and look on the lively Obermarkt – like the former generations of the Barbarossa innkeepers- looking down on you from the ancestral portrait gallery, welcoming the guests.
Our kitchen team directed by the chef Jens Wagner creates for you ambitious, regional, international and seasonal specialties according to the motto “creating a culinary experience with lasting impression by an honest cuisine”.
The wine list is characterized by fine wines from the Bodensee region with the addition of well selected wines from other German wine growing areas and balanced by European and other international wines.
The terrace on the Obermarkt connects the beautiful old town with the “Barbarossa”. In medieval times this market place was an emporium for timber and wine, but today on warm summer days it invites you to end the day by a true “Viertele” of wine. Our kitchen accompanies the drink with a mix of modern and light cuisine with an international touch and traditional classic dishes from the Baden region.

Restaurant “Weinstube” Lunch 12:00 – 14:00 h, Dinner 18:30 – 23:00 ( kitchen closes 21:30 h)
Closed on Sunday and Monday as well as the terrace Obermarkt.
