The Black Forest from its most beautiful side!
The tradition lives on! The beautiful country house was built in 1603 as a Black Forest farm and supplied the St. Blasien monastery as a flour mill until the 18th century. The stream that used to drive the mill wheel flows past the hotel terrace into the Schluchsee, as it has done for ages. The large garden is a wonderful place to unwind, and hiking trails into the green surroundings start directly in front of the hotel. The restaurant, which has been awarded a Michelin star, places great value on applied craftsmanship, the careful selection of products and their quality.
A host with a great passion for craftsmanship, tradition and new things: Marius Tröndle - trained in hotel management at Schluchsee, as a business economist in Zurich and as a chef in the former star restaurant Da Gianni in Mannheim, among other places - is a multi-talent, with a focus on sustainability. His philosophy focuses on the highest quality and intentionally reduces. He is concerned with the respectful, creative handling of traditions and the conscious experience of special moments. In this way, he prepares a unique stay and pure well-being for you as a guest.
