The history of Jagdhaus Waldidyll

The Prince of Schoenburg-Hartenstein once donated a part of his hunting ground for the construction of a comfortable health resort. Thus, many years ago, this charming house embedded in the unspoilt and varied countryside of the ore mountains in Saxony came into being. Thanks to its location it has an almost fairytale effect. In 1995/96 this Romantik Hotel was stylishly refurbished and extended from the ground up and welcomes guests with its cosy atmosphere.

In this charming hotel located in a fairytale woodland setting you immediately start to recover from the stresses of everyday life in the unspoilt natural surroundings of the Erzgebirge Mountains in Saxony. The hotel offers stylish furnishings as well as excellent regional dishes and haute cuisine. A region rich in history (e.g. the kidnap of the Saxon princes in 1455 and the theft of the Russian Amber Room) - 65 km of walking trails - a wellness and sauna studio - plus the hotel's own castle ruins ... all ensure a welcome break for the mind and body.
