FRANKFURT - For years now Romantik Hotels focuses besides the traditional Romantik Hotel & Restaurant Guide on the internet as sales channel. The investments in the website www.romantikhotels.com now obviously pay back. The number of online bookings grows rapidly - in the first quarter of 2010 this makes even 58 percent in comparison to the previous year. As a result the yearly sales of the cooperation via the internet rose already by 47 percent from 2008 to 2009 and this shows clearly an increasing tendency. The results of the first quarter of 2010 show a similarly positive development.
The Romantik website is viewed most often from Germany, Switzerland and Italy, but there is also a growing interest in English-language countries like the US (5th place) or Great Britain (9th place). Besides the increasing marketing and media activities in these destinations this might also be due to the English-language Romantik Hotels Travel Blog (http://romantikhotels.wordpress.com) that went online in May 2009.

Right now they account for approximately 20 percent of the sales in the online sector.
