Frankfurt - Roland Zadra, owner of the Romantik Hotel Landschloss Fasanerie in Zweibruecken and President of the Romantik Hotels & Restaurant International, was named Hotelier of the Year 2009 by the AHGZ and the publishing house Deutscher Fachverlag during a festive gala in Berlin on Monday night.
Since 1990 this most important German hotel industry award is bestowed upon personalities who render outstanding services to the hotel industry. The main criteria are the will for continuity, the courage to take risks, the innovation spirit and an enduring economic success.
All this is to be found in the native-born South Tyrolean Roland Zadra. In 1993 he took over the Romantik Hotel Landschloss Fasanerie in Zweibruecken, a country house he was fascinated by from the beginning. Today he calls it "refuge from daily routine" and in this way continues the tradition of a comfortable country estate seamlessly. Very early on Roland Zadra considered the promotion of young employees as highly important, by now not only in his own hotel, but also within the Romantik cooperation and therefore within the European hotel industry. Hence he expressed his gratitude to his family and his employees at the same time, because without them he would not be able to transform the praised virtues into real projects.
