"Vom Dunkeln ins Licht - Alte Meister in der Sammlung Wuerth" (From darkness into light - the Old Masters in the collection Wuerth) is the title of the important exhibition which opened on November 21st, 2008 in Schwaebisch Hall. The former Fuerstlich Fuerstenbergische Bilderschatz, Donaueschingen, is at the centre of the first class collection. It presents the art of the south-western part of Germany including the region of the Lake Constance and the northern part of Switzerland. The importance of the exhibition from a cultural historically point of view is enormous: Only a few panels have survived the so called "Bildersturm", iconoclasm, and they are to be found in this collection. Among the famous artists to be seen are Lucas Cranach d. A. as well as Tilman Riemenschneider.
