On the weekend October 9th and 10th 2010 everything is about beautiful, old cars at the Romantik Hotel Linslerhof in the Saarland Überherrn. Under the patronage of the Saarland Home secretary Stephan Toscani the final of the ADAC Classic Cup takes place in the context of the Saarland Classic Car Days. Enthusiasts for classical cars and motorcycles will have the chance to get to know and to admire the natural and (industrial) cultural beauties and sights of the Saarlouis region during touristically-orientated trips. The spectators at the roadside can look forward to brand diversity from Alfa Romeo to Porsche, Triumph to classical Volkswagen like the Beetle or the Karmann Ghia.
By the way, at the ADAC Classic Cup not the fastest driver wins. Instead you have to fulfil driving skill trials. For example drivers are to move exactly one metre or park cleverly. This sounds easy, but due to the fact that they do not drive the classic cars every day, this is a special challenge.
For the first time a Concours d'Elegance is going to take place in the context of this event weekend, where an independent jury gives judgements on the beautiful cars. A diversified programme adds to the great fun for young and old alike.
Anyway, the leisure facilities at the Romantik Hotel Linslerhof are rather unique: Do some shopping at the outlet of hostess Brigitte von Boch for textiles and living accessories. Bring your own horse or rent one and see the world from horseback. Marksmen appreciate the shooting range, whereas the hunting school makes you a perfect hunter. Admire the majesty of the birds of prey at the falconry demonstrations or work on your green fingers at the gardening school... The offer seems limitless and includes always new things. No surprise: The 330 hectare area is a world for itself.
