The oak forest of Deffend starts at our gate. Nearby lies the Hippodrome, unique in its kind, for it is the highest in Europe and the only one with a field of lavender in its center. Wednesday morning, in the village, a farmers' market that was founded in 1535 will provide you with an ideal opportunity to see and taste our regional products - the goat cheeses and milk, the lavender, épeautre, wild and domestic meats, etc.
We can organize for you a tour of the ancient village. The Office de Tourisme has at your disposition all kinds of information, including a brochure, "Sur les pas du loup" (Tracking the Wolf) where you may discover the wonders of Sault.
